The Department of Mass Media organized an International field trip cum excursion to Nepal (Pokhara- Kathmandu-Chitwan) from 19th December to 29th December 2018. 56 students paid visit in three cities of Nepal to widen their worldview and explore the beauty of our neighborhood. The 'Enroute to Nepal' had begun with Pokhara, where the serenity of Nepal reflected in the beautiful lakes and sunsets. The Devi's Fall, Gupteshwar Mahadev, and Pokhara lake were the hallmarks. Thereafter, the students visited Kathmandu, where everyone sought peace in the midst of the city and chaos of Capital by feeling the essence of Nepalese Culture in Temples, Architects & Monuments. Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath and Patan Darbar Square enthralled everyone. It was observed that Nepal had its cultural ties with India & China. The final phase of the trip was in Chitwan, which simply means the 'Heart of the Jungle' where the students stepped into the womb of Mother Nature by visiting Chitwan National Park. The visit to Chitwan was accompanied by Tharu Village Visit, Tharu Dance Performance and Orientation on Elephant Breeding. Overall, the trip has been a getaway for all the students from their daily routine, where they have discovered and learned a lot from experiences. Though the journey lasted for 10 days, its memories will last forever in the memory lane.
